Yamaha Ready to fight the Ninja and CBR

Yamaha Motor is ready to enliven the sport 250 cc motorcycle segment in Indian auto market. Tuning fork bearing manufacturer is hoping its new products can reduce the rate of Honda CBR 250R, Ninja 250, Suzuki Inazuma 250, and Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS.

Reported by Motorbeam, Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Yamaha decided to assemble a new model locally in India. That was done so that the price is competitive and not have to pay import tax.

"We continue to make observations, 250 cc motorcycle market continues to grow. Because consumers in India continue to increase the level of riding the motorcycle 250 cc. This bike plan will use 100 percent local components India," said Yamaha India National Business Head, Roy Kurian .

He added that a survey of Yamaha, a lot of consumers are not satisfied with the 250 cc motorcycle in the market today. This momentum will be used Yamaha to fill a niche market that has not been filled to overflowing. Yamaha is launching the 250 cc motor sport this year.

Then, if the motor will also be released in Indonesia?

Previously, Yamaha Motor Indonesia reveal the reason for not producing or marketing the R15 version 2.0 to Indonesia. "Indeed, the model is quite attractive, but its market share is still very small. So for what? We just had other plans, something bigger," said General Manager of Promotion and Communications PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), Eko Prabowo, some time ago.
